Frequently Asked Questions - Case Closure
  • Case Closure

I am the custodial party and I want my case closed. What do I do?
Provided you are not on public assistance or medi-cal, we can close your case. You will need to come into the office with the completed form and a picture ID. If you are unable to come into the office, you will need to submit a copy of your driver's license with your completed closure request. If you do not want child support services but you are still on medi-cal, you must submit a closure request in writing. Once medi-cal has discontinued, you will be required to submit another closure letter.
I am the non-custodial parent and I want my case closed. What do I do?
If the custodial party is not aided and you wish current support to be stopped, have the non-welfare custodial party submit their request in writing to close the case for the current child support.
